About Us
The Foundation of Minority (TFOM) is a national non-profit organization committed to better mental and well-being for Asian and other minority groups in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Given one in five people in New Zealand is of Asian and other ethnic groups and there are significant unmet needs for the mental health of these groups which are associated with but beyond language and cultural barriers. Racism has clearly exacerbated these long-existing issues by Covid and the subsequent effects of Covid on physical health, education, travel, business and trade, job security, and social and financial sustainability all contribute to an already started and ongoing “mental crisis” that for us all need to work together to fix.
To collaborate with all the government agencies and other organizations, the Foundation of Minority will dedicate itself to servicing New Zealand Asian and other minority groups for better, healthy, and we-being diverse communities in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Dr. Lifeng Zhou works for leading, developing, and implementing the Asian international collaboration strategy of WDHB. He is also a Senior Epidemiologist for WDHB and ADHB.
Bo Li, the managing director of Asiaworks Ltd, has been working in the Cross-Culture Communication industry for over 20 years, he is also leading many events in Asian communities.
Dr. Xing Zhang, general practitioner co-owner at Cairnhill Health Centre, Auckland (Since 2020). He is an Ophthalmology Registrar at Shanghai Hua Shan Hospital in China
